I don’t hate the kid. I think he has game. I feel he needs to play within his bubble, meaning he’s NOT a first option, he should focus on getting his teammates involved, and he’s not Athletic. He spends too much time dribbling the air out of the ball, and taken 3’s from the parking lot has to stop!
He’s a good person if you run into him in the street and probably cool to hang out with. But on the court he plays with a chip on his shoulder. No, I don’t hate Julian, I wish the best for him. He just needs to spend some time in a real system. Stay away from his dad horrible coaching!

Even though he’s small he still had the tools and exposure to make D1 the problem is that he’s built bad habits and has only known how to dribble one way, full speed if he worked as hard on his athleticism as his dribbling that would have went a long way. But as a small guard you have to be a facilitator. He still has major clout so he can atleast go overseas and make some money Cause he will bring a lot of exposure to other leagues.

Those of you who think Julian Newman is an NBA talent should be banned from talking basketball.. He strugglin and is a complete non factor against elite High Schoolers (who prob won't make it themselves).. Problem is websites like BallIsLife, OT, and don’t forget Elite Mixtapes all pump up this kids hype by creating 5~10 min highlight reels of his best plays. Having seen him play in about 25~30 games LIVE and not just Highlights, those highlights y’all see of him don’t tell the entire story of a given game. For instance, you might see Elite Mixtapes that says “ Julian goes off for 40, hits 9 3s”, which sounds great. Yet those highlights won’t tell you he’s shot 10 of 40 from the floor with 2 assists and 6 TO and 0 defensive played AT ALL. Look I’m not hating I hope he accomplishes EVERYTHING he wants to, but seeing his horrible, God-awful shot selection and terrible defense in a 5’5 body with just average athleticism, it’s hard to see someone with all of his short comings making it to the league.
