There is some optimism due to the lack of video on the potential funnel cloud. As of now, there has not been any confirmation that this is officially a funnel cloud. It may have just been a scud cloud.

The National Weather Service of Melbourne, Florida, mentioned that this is a "potential funnel cloud".

I saw this yesterday night before the tornado reached downtown in the galleria area, in Houston. I had no idea what I was looking at, "scud cloud...funnel cloud, got it."

I remember when this happened to my family and I years ago and it almost turned into a tornado. We were in animal kingdom and next thing you know it starts pouring down rain and the wind picked up, people are running into stores, people yanking their children from the ground and darting to the parking lot, people just trying to find places to hide, and we had my aunt who had a heart so we had her in a wheel chair so we had to dart to our car and thank God we got out bc we would’ve been stuck there for hours.

It certainly looks ominous in this video. Definitely something you don't usually see in Orlando. Hurricanes, yes, but tornados, not usual.
