Um, no Jenna. You aren’t unusual. It’s Psychology 101 - specifically Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Humans can’t do anything unless their basic needs are met - food water medical - then safety and security - then other things. It’s why that old saying “give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day; teach man to fish and he’ll for a lifetime” is semi-bs. Do both. Feed him first, then teach him.
