470sft. is not micro. That is a small 1 bedroom or large studio. I'm in a 518 sft 1 bdrm and it's ample and comfortable just for 1 person. Micro is usually when the builder has to apply for variances from the department of permitting to build something that is the smaller than the smallest current legally allowed unit (in the name of affordability). It depends on what city you are in, but it could be <400, <375 sft., etc... All these "micro" apartment vids of NY have nothing on the real San Francisco micro apartments, so far.

I love the look of this apt but I feel that's too expensive especially when you consider places like South Korea and Japan where they do the same type of micro apt designs for more affordable prices.
