Don't worry, guys. Once I make my first billion dollars, I'm gonna buy the rights to all of these series, as well as Xenogears, and we're gonna revive them all! I'll call my studio Necrosoft.

Well, to explain the Baten Kaitos situation, Baten Kaitos Origins was going to be released a few months after the Wii, and they felt that porting the game to the Wii would have been too costly anyway, so they decided to stick with keeping the game developed for the GameCube. Plus, the sales of both games were not really up to expectations, despite critical reception being fairly positive. I think if the sales of the original game were around a million units sold, they could have released the game on both the Wii and GameCube, in a similar vein as Twilight Princess. But, that never came to fruition.

Also, though Nintendo published Baten Kaitos Origins, the Baten Kaitos license still belongs to Bandai Namco, so if anything, Bandai Namco would have to either work out a deal with Nintendo with Monolith Soft (since Monolith Soft is now a first party developer to Nintendo), or sell the rights to Nintendo, so they can get the game up and running once more.

Wild ARMs needs to return to how it was... Not that horrible hex-grid battle system. The series went well downhill from the 4th game onwards.
For me, the pinnacle was the 3rd game.

Grandia 3 was alright, but I never got as emotionally connected to it as much as I did the story of Justin and Feena from the original Grandia. Not to say it's a bad game, of course, but while I never bothered with Xtreme, I've never completed G3 either.

While I didn't love From the New World as much as the previous Shadow Hearts games, I still liked it enough to enjoy it all the way to the end. I think if they were going to resurrect the series, I have to agree that it would need to go back to its darker story and style that the first two games had (three, if you count Koudelka). Still, as long as the game was enjoyable and had a good story, I wouldn't complain about it being the slightly lighter tone that FtNW had.

I've always imagined that if they were ever to do just one final Suikoden game (that followed on from 3, the last in the chronological order of the games), that it would be about one final, massive, war of the True Runes, where all 27 True Runes make an appearance.
However unlike the previous games, where you have usually have a choice at one point early on which decides whether you have an extra character join you later on, etc, the choice decides which of two sides you'll take in the war, changing your main character for the rest of the game and giving you two different perspectives on the storyline.
Would you choose the one who joins the empire and fight to acquire all the runes in order to bring peace to the world through power... or would you choose the side of the rebel, choosing to gain all the runes to bring down an empire they see as tyrannical?
Two sides of the same story seen through two different perspectives... and I don't mean where one character allies with the emperor, only to later find that he/she chose the wrong side of the fight and ends up betraying the emperor to return to their friend. I mean that you get completely different stories and endings based on which side you choose.

Once they sell the Suikoden license to a company willing to use it, Konami can go straight to hell lol

Holy crap...that you added Lufia to this list.. To this very day more than 25 years after the fact...the concluding events of Fortress still haunt me like a ghost that can't rest. One if the best RPGs of all time, waaaay ahead of it's time. Would love a remake..

Lunar 100% the stories were so deep and awesome with so much lore and I loved how in Lunar 2 they directly connected parts of it to Lunar Silver star story when they were in the ruins that showed a flashback of Alex fighting Ghaleon, there was so much potential to have a 3rd main title linked to the first 2. Wild arms was and will always be an awesome series, it would have been great to have a direct sequel to the 2nd wild arms which had one of the best protagonists (Ash) Valkyrie profile is a great series and they definitely need to make a new one. There was a fan made chrono trigger sequel in north america but before it could be finalised they received a cease and desist from Square Enix. But from the small clips I saw it would have been awesome! There are rumours that Suikoden has a new game being developed because the website got a complete overhaul but it's just a rumour. I personally loved terkiaris because it had the whole inter-dimensional aspect and the main protagonist was from another dimension originally so he was an enigma of sorts. Good choices and I totally agree that all these titles should be revived

the Lunar series is one of the best and wild arms is right up there with it! I also loved grandia 3, the series was great but a lot of people hated on grandia 3 though I personally really enjoyed it! As for Suikoden, I'm super bummed that they decided to release a few in Japan and not here, I actually really liked Tierkreis because they explored the multiverse/many worlds part of the series (Yuber) and the story in itself was epic!

One thing I'm waiting for that is coming soon is a release date for Grandia 1 & 2 HD remaster, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.
I just hope it's physical, but knowing THQ Nordic, it likely will be.
