Im actually happy that the first neurolink user was someone like him, someone who will actually benefit from the link, instead of just any random person.

This makes sense. Our brains are incredibly good at learning new skills like that. The concept of “phantom limb” were amputee’s with prosthetics can sometimes feel sensory input on the prosthetic? That’s the brain sort of “interfacing” with the prosthetic and incorporating it.

People who get really good at a skill of some sort rarely have to think about what they are doing. A race car driver doesn’t think in his head to turn the wheel when facing a spun out car, they just do it.

So, I think as we continue increasing the level of complexity of this tech, I believe we”ll continue to be surprised as to how easy they’ll be to learn and control.

imagine having to redo the high risk brain surgery and risk a lobotomy everytime the tech improves and they make a new model

My great uncle was able to do this with assisted equipment over 10+ years ago. Would def prefer to see noninvasive tech like that get more spotlight and advancements. The compatibility is cool, but again, noninvasive tech has been around for so long.

Bro imagine gaming with neuralink. Full movement aiming and any other keybinds with your brain. No more desk pops, no more fat fingers, no more running out of desk space. Super cool future for gaming

Neuralink is an awesome idea but is also terrifying. I just don’t trust Elon musk to put a chip in my brain
