It does work; I’ve been doing this for a few years now. I heat up the water on the stove, not boil! You’ll melt the pipes. But right now for me it didn’t work, neither did snaking it out. Time to call the plumber 😤 Is there any other trick out there?

Sure this will work for the common folk without a wife or daughter whom has long hair, combs her hair over the sink, and also washes their hair in the shower as the hair goes down the drain. One will always need a plumber’s friend, it is a long, thin piece of plastic/device with jagged edges. You place it down the drain twist, the plastic handle around and around bring it back up to find gobs of hair. Baking soda and vinegar won’t touch. 😏
