You see, these are the key foundations of mathematics.
If you think about a topic like 'area' then you need to be able to multiply the length and the width in order to calculate the total area.
Addition and Subtraction comes into all areas of Maths and in day to day life in general.
Division can be often looked at as the hardest out of these key skills, but understanding its relationship to multiplication and finding ways to solve division questions will boost confidence and boost general understanding of number and mathematics.

When these key skills are mastered, you will have a much greater chance to master all areas as you will see number differently and understand the links and connections between these operations.
