Thanks for your video! And all over sudden you've made the greatest encyclopedia work for all the Isetta fans and for all car fans, now anyone can have a substantial evidence of the difference between the manufacturing... Thanks a lot!

The turn signals on the British version appear to be the same as on Minis (the glass piece).

Now we need to see if we can find a Spanish one. It is essentially the same as the original Italian 2-stroke model of which only about 1, 000 examples were built.

How Nice are these funny cars, a realy precious gem from the time they used to produce state of the art cars, and these particulars ones were ahead of their time, surely were. Thanks for this Nice video and greetings from Brazil.

I had a year old 1960 German Isetta when I was 18. It was fun to drive. My friend and I would sit on the top of the seatback with our heads out the sunroof. I could just reach the pedals and steering wheel from there. It was hilarious to us. Another dumbazz teenage thing we used to do is open door (it only has one, people) while driving down the street. My friend would then stand up in the door opening and wave to girls on the sidewalk as we went by. I could still steer just fine with the door open.

I took good care of it, but it wasn't very reliable. I had two cylinders crack at the base. It also rolled once. Turning into a restaurant driveway at normal speed we skidded. It was Halloween night and some kids had poured engine oil on the street as a prank. The restaurant manager had one of his employees wash it down with water which make it 10X worse. We slowly skidded into the driveway, a front tire caught the curb and we went over in slow motion. Only damage was a dimple in the headlight housing.

Here in Finland Isettas, Messerschmitts, Heinkels and other such microcars were three-wheeled, so they could be registered as motorcycles, having lower taxation and license requirements.

Great video, but so much more to few of the differences you pointed out are actually Germany v British, mainly just the electrics and the very great bias for 3 wheels car in the UK. The small lights are not usually indicators but side running lights as most cars had 'pigs ear' indicators high, mid-way along each side (from the FX4 London taxi cab), There are also floor mounted ratchet handbrake leavers, All the UK cars I know have grab handles, there is a big mix of bumpers and 'bull bars', large and small headlamps, a mix of logos, inc. script, not all had badges, etc. etc. etc. big subject, someone should write a book on it. Nice video, enjoyed it.
