Day in the Life at the World’s Best Zoo

San Diego, California - I had the incredible honor and opportunity to spend a day in the life at the World's Best Zoo in San Diego, California.

With its unwavering commitment to conservation and education, the San Diego Zoo offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe and learn about diverse creatures from around the globe. From majestic elephants and playful pandas to elusive big cats and colorful birds, the zoo provides a captivating experience for all ages. I had the opportunity to spend the most of my time in my "day in the life" with the amazing polar bears, elephants, hummingbirds, and giant tortoises. What a day!

Seeing the love and dedication these keepers have for the animals is amazing! While keeping animals in zoos isn't what we wish for, it's the only option for some, and if it helps educate us about them, so we can treat them better and help them more in the future, then I'm all for it! <3

As a keeper, thanks for highlighting the work that goes into the day to day! This career can be really tough with the intensive labor and compassion fatigue, and often times people misunderstand what we do, so it’s nice to see a positive video for the field.

This was so fantastic to watch. When I was in HS and college I worked as a junior zoo keeper at the Lincoln Park zoo. I have some of the greatest memories from that time. I love my jobs now but I often dream of going back to work or volunteer at the zoo whenever I retire.

I know how much hate and negativity zoos recieve and some of them deserve it. But it's so good to see a zoo like this where the people are so passionate and caring for the animals. You can really tell that they're doing everything in their power to give them the greatest life possible.

Every zoo should be like this no less. I have no hate for zoos that are run properly, they benefit animals and research in so many ways and provide so much happiness towards animals in need and guests.

Ever since I visited Singapore Zoo, no other zoo measures up, Singapore Zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos in the world, its a zoo without cages, with the largest & best animal enclosures I've ever seen in the world! The animals to are so well cared for & I've never in my life seen such massive variety of animals, they actually have 3 different Zoos, A day time Zoo, Night time Zoo & bird zoo, as well as do an incredible orangutan breakfast, where they open a bridge & if the orangutans want to come down on to a walkway they can but if they don't, they dont so you can get pretty close to them, obviously you can not touch them but you get a pretty unique encounter, lots tend to come out especially when there treats on offer from there keepers. Once you've seen a zoo without cages & barriers, with such enriched enclosures no other zoo will ever measure up xxx
