I've just discovered Jim's channel today, this lesson is absolutely incredible, I felt so sad to discover Jim had passed when I read the comments, thank you Jim R.I.P

We all realize Jim is gone now, but his work and absolutely love for all things Bass lives one so keep the comments coming. I have yet to see anyone who demonstrates as much joy and enthusiasm with the bass after investing so many decades in it...his teaching style helps me abundantly! Growing-up in church, we sang a familiar song in times like these: “May The Work I’ve Done, Speak for Me”. Be well brothers and sisters...Peace.

I know you are not here with us the same way you were, but I still enjoy a Sunday morning working with you.

My music mentor and bandmate Mace Williams, was a big Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown fan. He taught me many of these types of blues walks. Great that you're sharing this info.

Awesome. I'm trying to loop this one with the P Chamber's Bb line you taught a while ago. That way I can just groove on Bb for a while. Thanks Jim. By the way, really digging your "Jazz Bass Walk & Run" book. Keepin busy.

I learned this awesome line in Bb and I found it very cool to play in A too. Which key should I learn next? Maybe in G? E? 😉
