As an american (30 years old) I noticed how she is speaking very, very clearly so that non-native speakers can hear the pronunciation, yet she sounds perfectly normal to me. She's the real deal.

I definitely agree with this, the best way to improve your English is to sing a song, you will learn the message of that song, melody, and of course the accent as well. There are times when you sing, you sound like an English speaker, but when you speak, you go back to your native accent. So, practice singing with your favorite song.

I was doubting myself by saying that I was not good at English because I didn't understand songs easily but from today and on I changed my mind about it.

7:21 The only difference between _g_ and _k_ is the voicing. _G_ is voiced while _k_ is voiceless. To make voiced consonants, the vocal cords are vibrated; to make voiceless consonants, the vocal cords aren't vibrated.

Great way to learn Spanish; thanks for the advice.

So much to say:
1. I love your channel content.
2. I would also include writing when practicing with songs. E.g. Fill in the gaps activities or there are amazing websites which not only include writing, but also the concept of gamification connected to your favorite songs.
3. Dancing may be also a great addition when practicing with songs. There are these fun video games which give you the opportunity to listen to the song while reading and dancing. Kinetics should be more considered when learning a language.
4. I would also suggest not so difficult songs to practice, but probably you should just pick the ones you like; that would make it more meaningful.
5. You are totally right when you say one need to know some cultural aspects to understand some lyrics, but at the same time music is a form of art which means it is also a reflection of culture. Then, music itself would help you developing your intercultural skills, a must when learning a foreign language.

Thanks for your videos.

Hi Gabby, I love listening to OneRepublic and I usually follow some of the steps you taught us. First, I listen to the song and try to understand it. Then, I Google the lyrics to see what I couldn't understand and learn the new vocabulary. Finally, I sing the song and try to memorize it.
Thanks for the tips.
