Someone commented that Jones went to college in California and had a criminal record. FYI Jones was born in California, received his Bach at Fisk University then attended Vanderbilt Divinty School. I could not find anything that shows him to be a convicted criminal.

Register to vote young people it's your turn to change the world, find the candidates who won't take corporate money and vote for them. Help the ones running by volunteering on their campaigns and if you're old enough maybe run for a seat yourself. Fix the problems before you and be the change. Will somebody please help me out? I don't understand how this makes sense. Why are they being expelled? Did they assault anyone or break any laws or damage property or relieve themselves in the office of another elected official?

Does this really just amount to other elected Tennessee officials putting action behind the sentiment "I can't refute your opinion and I don't care that voters elected you so I'm throwing you out."?

And I’m pretty sure Tennessee just passed a bill allowing teachers to carry guns at school. I was s-harassed by a teacher in high school and I can’t IMAGINE how intimidating it would have been if he also had a gun!! I never spoke up about it as it was. I’ve been screamed at by a teacher in Tennessee… if they’d had a gun… wow.

I hope that these representatives will be fully reinstated. Silencing elected representatives silences the people they represent. It institutes taxation without representation, and should not be allowed by law. All elected representatives should be heard.

Absolutely crazy, elected representatives of various politiccal stripes should be welcome on university campuses. Heck when I was young, I was hired by our elected rep--a dream job for political science student and he was a moderate conservative! Go youth!

All we can hope through their pain, is that these students will do what we are failing to do. Protect children, ALL, students, ALL Children. Shame on the GOP lead politicians who put a piece of deadly metal above the lives of Teachers and Children.
