How can Americans generate GDP for the nation as each State is hammered with either droughts, flooding, snowstorms, hurricanes, landslides, etc? It's like each week or month, there is something pummelling the USA. Like....how are Americans able to work and make money when they're in danger, distress, financial ruin, and personal challenges?

I'm a Canadian and I'm watching the climate crisis unfold on your daily newscasts. It looks grim AF for Americans.
