I'm happy she said this. I got a lot of flack from my friends after getting back with my ex after he made me so miserable. But I feel that we as women, sometimes it's truly truly hard to forget someone, we suffer emotionally twice as much as men and we tend to make more mistakes because we act on our feelings, rather than our thoughts. Anyway, long story short, it was easier for me to get over my ex after getting back with him. lol I could see him better, clearer, and it made MY decision that much more meaningful to leave him BECAUSE of how and who he is as a person. It's ok to get back to your old lover once, but no more than that. We all have room to grow as humans, and it's ok to just end things for your well being....

I see nothing wrong with this. However I wonder how often couples do this not realizing that any relationship requires rough patches and the commitment to do the work. My parents have been married for 40 years. They almost called it quits but they put in the work to move past their issues. I have friends who are in marriages where they’ve had a rough year with their spouse and they thought it was over but once they came out of it they were stronger for it. I’m not saying every couple should move forward together, as some couples become toxic, but if people wish to find a life partner, they need be with that partner, you know, for life…and moving THROUGH life which, as we know, isn’t always easy.

I’m calling it. By time they are at the age of 40, they will get married. They are too infatuated with each other, both met young and in the same industry. Regardless of her answer, right person wrong time. She’s not old enough to realize this and it’s not right currently because their career takes priority and they just can’t have the time available for each other. Once they realize they are getting older and notice they won’t find anyone who comes close to matching as they do, they will know without a doubt.
