Nissan Silvia S15 VCT\CAM RATTLE FIXED

Hey Hi, Youtubers,

Earlier I posted a video of my Nissan Silvia S15 SR20DET which had the VCT CAM noise and rattle it sounded pretty bad, well I replaced the VCT cam sprockett and also the VCT signal solenoid and this is the result.

I recommend changing the VCT signal solenoid as well, because after 100K on the SR20DET the response of the solenoid signal is slightly delayed well that's what I discovered with my one any how hope this has been informative for those SR20DET & DE owners out there enjoy the vid.....

im so glad i watched your before and after video. for that you just gained another subscriber! hopefully mine is just the solenoid as mine is making a small ticking noise about the vct side so ill see if the solenoid is gone or the sprocket hopefully in those two as when i rev the engine the tick disappears

What inlet is that? I didn’t know of a plenum that allowed for the VVT solenoid to remain in place!?

Hi if you notice it makes a strange grinding sound at the end during deceleration, what is it? I have the same noise

Nice setup :) that hose you have from valve cover over the turbo? Where do you have it going? I have same motor and can't figure it out.

Yeah it's the same VCT Cam sproket need to be changed.
