Walcott turning his head as often as Xavi playing Tiki Taka

I completely agree with Roy Keane who couldn't understand our mentality - why we sat back in the 2nd half and have become a team that sits back on a lead. If we kept up even half the intensity and possession of the first half we could have killed the game off. As Carragher observed, Arteta is morphing into Mourinho and played like we only had 10 men in that 2nd half.

Keane is right, Saka was scary in first half and nowhere in second then taken off….. they have to take the title from city and that’s not happening

Agree with Roy. Take the bloody initiative. We're so bloody passive.

The title of the video sums up almost every campaign of Liverpool when they challenged for the league
09, 14, 19, 22, 24. On most occasions they were the team with least no. of losses, but with a truckload of ties.

Great to see the system work. Channels pundits poke fans. Fans attack pundits. Channel gets more engagement and $$. Love it.

Roy Keane's assertion is supported by history, especially when looking at past seasons.

In the 2021/22 season, the title race between Manchester City and Liverpool ended with City at 93 points and Liverpool at 92. City lost more games (three against Crystal Palace at home and Tottenham twice) compared to Liverpool's two losses (Leicester and West Ham, both away). However, City had six draws versus Liverpool's eight. Notably, Liverpool drew all their matches against teams that finished in the Champions League places that season—City, Chelsea, and Tottenham—which ultimately cost them the title.

The 2018/19 season saw the first title race between Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp. City finished with 98 points and Liverpool with 97. Similar to the 21/22 season, City lost more games (four) than Liverpool (one), but City had only two draws all season while Liverpool had seven. Liverpool's draws against teams like Everton, West Ham, and Leicester, as in the 21/22 season, cost them the title.

In the 2008/09 season, the title race between Manchester United and Liverpool, managed by Sir Alex Ferguson and Rafa Benitez respectively, ended with United at 90 points and Liverpool at 86. United lost more games than Liverpool that season, with half of those losses against Liverpool and the others against Fulham and Arsenal. Liverpool's single loss was against Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough, who were relegated that season. Liverpool's 11 draws, compared to United's six, were primarily at home against teams like Fulham and newly promoted sides Stoke and Hull. They fell short by four points; without so many draws, they could have surpassed United for the title.

These examples illustrate Keane's point that draws can be detrimental in a title race.

I wonder if it's occurred to anyone there was two sides playing and Liverpool didn't let them play that way in the second half, Arsenal tried to play that way numerous times and Liverpool bossed them for most of the second half

Surprised to see Arsenal sit back and invite pressure. I think they would have won the game if they had had a go.

Could someone tell Theo Walcott to be himself and not wait for validations from Roy and Jamie. He's there in his own right.

Can't figure out if Walcott thinks he's at a job interview or on Question Time

The team changed their attitude once gabriel went off and then even more cautious when timber went off. Those two don't go off and we dominate that second half

Roy keane should be a manager so he can show us all how easy it is to coach

Walcott talking about winning titles😂😂

Walcott is like listening to Ty on AFTV. Refusing to see the weaknesses that are clearly there and need improving to stand a chance of winning the title.
He has very rose tinted glasses

I swear that first half was the most brilliant game I've seen from us, but then the second half plundered my existence

They’ve drew three times this season. Two of which were against city and Liverpool (with 10 men for most of the game vs city and a makeshift back 4 vs Liverpool), and in the other they were down to 10 as well. Considering the circumstances a draw isn’t a bad result

Walcott spent 10 years at arsenal and all he achieved was growing a beard.
