The ORIGINAL Mastermind Helluva Boss Episode We Never Got

Did you know this in Helluva Boss?

Some original concept images for mastermind were posted and they reveal that the original story of the episode was quite different. Let me explain.

So these images were posted on twitter by salem.

The intro scene more or less remained the same

During the courtroom scene satan had a different design, belphegor as well had horns.

Stella was meant to be in the court room.

Fizzarolli would be there as well, beside ozzie.

Stolas would’ve been watching the tv with octavia, rather than in separate rooms.

Blitz would’ve been placed under a guillotine instead of an axe, and stolas would block the blade with his hand causing it to bleed.

We can see satan’s early design again, along with stella in the courtoom.

Blitz would hug moxie outside of his house, and it was an actual home and not the apartment block.

And lastly blitz’s house was a bit different. Loona wasn’t there to give stolas her sweater.

Personally i love the final version we got, but i think stella and fizz being at the courtroom would’ve been way cooler. Along with stolas holding the guillotine with his hand. What do you think? Let me know down below.

I mean it makes sense that Fizz wasn’t there. It’d woulda been sick as hell, but because he’s still an imp I doubt anyone would want him there. Plus, I love the detail of him texting Oz to do something. The guillotine thing woulda been FIRE thoigh

Stella “being there” for her daughter is perfect psychological manipulation. She’s primed herself to corrupt Via against her father and that scares me

Stella and Fizz not being there makes it look like it’s more of a trial for the titled elites where the lower classes don’t really get a say. Remember that while Stella may be Goetia she’s not one of the ones with a title, she’s just the ex-wife of one of the princes and the sister of another.

Guillotine would have been cooler, of course for Blitz the ultimate ironic death would have been being drawn and quartered by horses.

Stella remaining at home actually makes a lot of sense. She needed to be there to intercept Octavia and make sure she didn’t try to go help her dad.

Guillotine > axe any day. That is just way way more badass.

I think it was the correct move to leave Fizz out of the courtroom, though, because, reasonably, I feel like there's no way he wouldn't speak up, And I can't think of how you could work that into the story in a reasonable fashion. Having him at home on the couch as a helpless distant spectator was a much better move.

Stolas parrying the guillotine/axe with his HAND AND RAW STRENGTH would have gone ridiculously hard. Although it makes sense he'd use magic instead since he's not been shown (from what I remember) to be physically super strong. Endurance and pain tolerance is one thing but strength to hold back a strike without magic is another.

At the very least Stella should've been at the trial and Via seeing Stolas run to save Blitzø without a second thought would've had the same effect as Stella manipulating Via although Fizz being there wouldn't make sense

I don’t know if many people noticed, but the axe that they tried to use on Blitz has eyes on it, which confirms the theory that the souls killed in hell get absorbed by surrounding objects and then shown as eyes.

Although I wanted Stella to get more screentime in s2 e11, if she was present in the courtroom we wouldn't have gotten that heartbreaking scene where Stella pretends to love Octavia.
