Meanwhile Sarah Palin is on the ballot again, with the help of the former guy. And finally, President Biden signs the Inflation Reduction Act, effectively fulfilling some of his campaign promises just ahead of the midterms.

That clip of Sarah Palin, with the gentleman in the background bleeding-out a turkey was quite honestly obscene. Here's the deal - when a hunter dresses their prey, they do it with respect and decency for the life given - no fanfare, vulgar arrogance, or callous disregard. When a farmer bleeds out livestock for the family, they do it with respect and decency for the life given - often times with thanks to the Lord for providing sustenance - but not with weird creepiness and profane showmanship. When livestock are bled-out for mass consumption (like at slaughterhouses), it's fairly difficult for many people to stomach, so it's kept rather hidden - in fact there are bizarre "secrecy " laws that protect slaughterhouses from undue prying - but again, it's done out of sight, with some modicum of understanding about respecting the life given. But what Sarah Palin was doing was grotesque. She was grandstanding the while the life of another creature was being drained - literally the picture of evil. Yeah, my kids understand the necessities of life - where food comes from, what life is like on an actual farm, how a true hunter behaves - but they know not to be so utterly callous and cavalier with life. Sarah, sweetie - you are pure sickness, bottled with a large helping of distilled evil - topped off with galactic immaturity.
