Does the Kreg jig produce cleaned holes than the Katsui jig? I have seen recommendations to use a Krerg drill bit with the Katsui style jig, but it occurred to me that perhaps the reason for a cleaner hole was that the Kreg jig has a solid profile up against the work piece versus a recess profile in the Katsui, resulting in a higher chance of deformation of the wood.

With the Kreg jig, you can adjust the guide up and down to accommodate the different thickness of the timber. I cant see that option on the Katsu.

Thanks for video. but someone at the factory has made a mistake as the numerals on the angle holes are reversed you don't say if the instructions point this out. Could we please have a demonstration on how to use this jig which is good value for money and at the same time clarify the numeral mix up on the holes and show how it works using the different angles ?

Was looking for a video to compare the Harbor Freight Pocket Hole Jig to the Kreg one couldn't find it then I came across this one talking about Katsu it is the exact same jig as the one sold in Harbor freight with the exception that the american version has imperial measurements as compared with this one using metric system

I am considering when making furniture is to put the holes on the outside and use the dowels to fill the hole in with contrasting wood - Any thoughts off anyone on the look of it? Its to add a bit of interest to the piece

I noticed that the K4 can be taken off the main jig and used for repairs etc. Can you do the same with the Katsu?

Looks good, but I hear the drill bits chew up the insides? Have you been using it for a while - how has it been?

Good video thanks I was going to buy a kreg K4 but that is £71.23 but the katsu seems to be the better deal

Sadly you have not demonstrated the unit in use.

I understood this was to be a review of the Katsu but it turned out to be a comparison video. I cannot understand the need to even mention Kreg as most people are aware of it. A practical demonstration of the Katsu would have been a better use of the time spent giving Kreg more unneeded coverage. Having said that, The katsu looks a great tool to own.
