I think resell hurt the culture. I'm in my 50s and sneakers for my generation meant something different. We actually wore our kicks. This whole collecting sneakers just to have a room full of sneakers that you never intend on wearing never appealed to me.

I like how Nike is retroing shoes and people who own the original pair are getting pissed it’s happening. If you really like the shoes, then it shouldn’t matter imo. Those people are mad cause the shoes aren’t exclusive anymore

Still buying shoes at 35 y.o. but I've shifted into Asics, Salomon. As far as Jordans and collab Nikes or Yeezys I just do my research into the best rep batches but for personal use only. I'm retired military, and still work.

People still buy shoes they’re just not paying $350-$600 dollars on the resale market them days are gone. The car market is having this exact same problem with reality pandemic is over the stimulus money is gone.

Those of us in the game for the love of the game for awhile knew these were coming. Like COD with Warzone, Drive To Survive and F1, and of course, Last Dance and Jordans couldn't have come at a better time with the pandemic. A bubble was built, and at long last, it has burst.

I'll still buy some Jordans from time to time, but overall, I rather lock in with New Balance and Asics these days.
