Do you have use a low-light snow goggle lens or do you head back to the lodge when it gets a little nasty out there on the slopes?

This might be the best lowlight lenses I have ever tried.
Hasn’t used them on snow lol

How can you review when haven't been on the mountain and tested it properly 😮

I've been in touch with Oakley about this new lens because I might want to buy one for my Fall Line goggle and so far they said that the prizm iced iridium lens has a pink base color with blue iridium coating with a VLT of 41% (so not 38% like you said?). The Prizm Hi Pink has a VLT of 46% and the Prizm Persimmon (no iridium here) has a VLT of 39%.

It is said this lens is for overcast conditions but the simulation shown in the video is during bluebird day. On this simulation we can see how polarization works removing glare and filter blocks blue spectrum of VL but I can not see any enhancement in color or brightening. Actually I doubt it will work the best for whiteout or snow storm, fog, sitting clouds with such VLT ~40%. Especially when pink color is used as contrast base in comparison to yellow, brown (bronze) base, because pink base darkens everything a bit whilst the yellow makes everything brighter. The development team should look at how works the bronze prizm lens for gauge 6 sunglasses. It creates highlights, more saturated colors and this makes overall impression of brighter picture despite the only 13% VLT. I think if this effect can be added to contrast features of snow googles it would be better.

I think you needed to have the hi pink in the video so people can see

Love your guys videos! Super informative. Do you think you guys could do a lens color guide on Zeal lens? Or maybe just a review on the persimmon sky blue low light lens?

I recently added this lens to my collection and own all low-light lenses including Clear and Prizm Clear.

My main lens for bluebird days is the prizm garnet, as it has a low enough VLT to use even with bright sun. I may try the Prizm Torch, but I don't think it is needed, at least at the altitude and sun elevation I ski at at the moment.

The Iced Iridium is a very good lens, it has a similar filter color to the Garnet but is brighter. It is usable over a much wider range of brightness than any other lens. It won't immediately blind you if the sun comes out like the Hi Pink would. It is not as good as the Hi Pink or Persimmon on completely overcast, storm or fog days.

I currently use the Persimmon for days with low light, as the yellow tint seems to work better for my eyes than the pink/rose one. I could not compare the Persimmon and Hi Pink directly on Szorm days yet.

I currently carry the Garnet and Persimmon if I don't have reliable information about the weather and I use the Garnet on clear sky days while switching to the Iced Iridium early and late on these days or while slightly clouded.

Of course, all of this is subjective, individual perception can be quite different.

As I get older (50+) the dark lenses become problematic especially without prescriptions. I only "need" glasses for reading so I don't need inserts for the outside. But I find myself increasing the VLT % of my lenses as I get older regardless of outside conditions. Same goes for regular sunglasses. I'm grateful that Oakley has these old eye....I mean... low light options.

@SportRx Yo guys! I am not a big fan of rose colour.. everything goes blue after that. Is persimmon still good or this one much better?

My next goggle lens for non-sunny Pickle Ball days. Either that or sitting in my hole doing lens reviews without actual use.

I'd still like to try the Rose Gold ones. Will the lens only be available for the Flight Deck L goggles?

I guess I'm light sensitive as the prizm pink's let in too much light for me even during storm days. The prizm rose's were fine though. Would these let in too much light for me?

These lenses didn't do as well as i was hoping in the clouds and snow of north lake tahoa early this week. My eyes are definitely failing me, but definition of features on the slopes was lacking.

Is the iced iridium on the line miner pro the same for the fall line iced iridium?

When it brightens whiteout days, does it make bluebird days too bright compared to not wearing it? Like on blue bird days, is not wearing it still brighter than wearing it?
