I live alone and I’ve always loved my solitude. I don’t get lonely because when I get together with friends or chat with my family on the phone, we have quality conversations. I enjoy every minute of it. But the key to being alone is knowing how to take charge of your day. You get to choose what you want to do and how. But you don’t get to lay around and be miserable. You have to be okay with knowing you answer to you and not anyone else, so learn to be confident and learn to be with your own thoughts. Have three hobbies or more. I use photography, piano, cooking, and cleaning as my hobbies. And of course, I love movies and shows. I can’t believe people whine about a week or two of this! I’d do ten years without any problem! Just accept that you’re not the center of the universe and people don’t owe you their attention. YOU pay attention to yourself and then call others to ask them about how THEY are doing...and listen to them! Don’t talk about you unless they ask, and then keep it short. Listen to others and listen to your inner self. It’s okay. Relax.
