Every Cutting Board Should Have These

But seriously... every wood cutting board should have those, right?

Let me answer a few additional common questions here, and IF I answered your question, please leave a comment to say “Thanks” (Just so the algorithm knows you were satisfied with your trip to the comment section, I appreciate it!!)

Why do I have so many cutting boards?
-I use them as backgrounds in all my shots and food photography, so it helps to have different shades and textures depending on the food I am cooking. I don’t recommend that anyone buy as many boards as I have. Like I said in the video, if you already have a board you love, you already have enough cutting boards.

Where can I find those little cutting board feet?
- You can find them in my Triggazon store on my channel page. I tested 4 different sets before choosing that set because lots of the more expensive feet were made with hard plastic and would just slide, so if you want the feet for stability, give those a try. The stickers are also in my Triggazon too if you want a removable option for cleaning or changing sides.

What brand do I recommend?
-My favorite boards are from Sonder Los Angeles @sonderlosangeles and they were kind enough to help with these videos and give my followers 10% off with code TRIGGTUBE. I’m not on commission or getting paid for this, I just love supporting small businesses with quality products. So enjoy the discount.

What about glass, metal, or stone boards?
-They are all sanitary options, but they will dull your knives very quickly. I strongly prefer wood for its naturally anti-microbial properties and soft cutting experience.

I really appreciate that you say don't go and buy one only because of this video and you also do not just say go and buy the most expensive, thats the must have cutting board.

I made a wooden cutting board many years ago in middle school and my parents have it and refuse to use it because they don’t want to ruin it.

Beyond the damp towel are a piece of rubberized shelf liner. Before it was used for shelving it was invented for wood working to hold things in place without clamps.

You can also get a silicon sheet to put under the board so it doesn’t slide. It’s also great for resting spoons and other cooking utensils while you’re cooking. It cleans out super easily and dries out very quickly.

i use a damp paper towel to hold the cutting board still, then can use that to help wipe down and clean up after

For another grip-solution for your cutting board, try using a rubber shelf liner. It is cheap, can be cut to size, and is easy to wash. The grip is solid, and you can find it easily.

I actually make cutting boards (and other stuff) for a living. The walnut cutting boards are my favorite by far. Seems to me that they are the most popular especially the end grain. Great video!

I’ve been lazy about making a new cutting board for the kitchen, I guess some you’ve made me buy good knives now I’ll have to get into the shop and make a nice board!

After years of frustration with smaller and thinner boards I finally splashed out on the biggest quality wooden board with decent thickness that would work in my kitchen and it does indeed make prep so much more pleasant. You won't regret spending a bit more if you can afford it.

I've a plastic board made of microban plastic, I love it tbh. It's got rubber corners to help keep it from slipping and it's big enough for my needs too. Also, I can chuck it in the dishwasher without issues.
