So fun fact! Tomatillos are more like second cousins to tomatoes and are much more closely related to Ground Cherries, also known as Cape Gooseberries. They are a main ingredient to a lot of different 'green/verde' dishes in Mexico and also salsa verde.

I always make sure to not skip the ads on Imamu's videos, so one day she can have her dream kitchen ❤️
Great video as always!

Tomatillos are used in Mexican cuisine to make salsas. I've never seen anyone do anything else with them. That's very creative.

I’m a vegetarian so I don’t eat fish or meat. But your videos always gives me ideas of what I can cook and makes me want to get creative in the kitchen!

Congratulations on your kitchen upgrade (11:53)! It turned out very nicely. And I love hearing your husband and daughter laughing in the background (17:25). You have such a sweet family.

Thank you for your videos. I used to think of cooking as being stressful, but your videos make cooking seem comfortable and fun. 😊 I've learned some new things from watching.

I’m Thai, so when I saw you say “Southeast Asian” inspired I got very surprised and curious! Lots of love from a long-time fan, I hope you and your family have been well ❤

Your husband must be so envied at work, always coming in with amazing homemade meals. I love watching you try new things, even when maybe they don't work out as well as you'd hoped. Your captions always make me smile, too. :)

A new imamu video was a pleasant surprise to wake up to. ❤❤

Hey Imamu, it's lovely to see you start exploring other food cultures as South East Asia consists of many different countries and flavours and I am more than happy to share with you my country's flavours.
Here's a Malaysian style of blanching seafood, you may add mirin/sake and some ginger slices too. Ginger is known to remove fishy taste and smell from the seafood and reduce mercury poisoning from overconsuming seafood but feel free to add other herbs such as pandan, spring onions, ginger leaves etc. My family always add alcohol and ginger when we want to eat blanched seafood. Muslims may skip the alcohol but do add more ginger and another very important tip. clean your seafood before you blanch it!!!! Hope this seafood tip helps with your cooking.

P.S. Do save the shrimp shells to make broth, it is the best 😋😋

Love your videos! A tip for making basil pesto or sauce is to quickly blanch the leaves for a couple seconds in hot water then right into ice cold water. It will slow their browning. Love the pork and shrimp stuffed shishitos I gotta try that!

I always look forward to these so so much! Thank you for taking the time to show us the amazing husbentos you make with such love and attention to detail. x

The cinnamon bread crusts is such a creative way to not waste and have a nice sweet dessert. The sped up part of the video with the cute music was a lovely touch to your video! The kitchen looks fantastic too. :D
