If you find yourself using any of these tools (especially McStacker and Misode) a lot and you can afford it, go and donate them a few bucks. These people create the backbone of minecraft commands and datapacks in their free time

I always find it surprising how many people use GUI based editors in places that are basically just a glorified JSON/SNBT editor like Misode's stuff or mcstacker.

Personally, I much prefer a text editor for this with autocomplete from spyglass.

What i was wondering.. how do you manage the pack_format in the pack.mcmeta. Let's say i made a datapack and i want to support it from 1.18 till 1.21. Do i create a datapack for each version with the correct pack_format or i just use the latest pack_format version?

And then theres me, who still uses microsoft editor for making datapacks although i even have other IDE installed. I started with it and for some reason nothing has make me change it yet :)
