I'm going to attempt drilling out the plastic pin holes and use machine screws instead of tape to hold it together

Will the plastic casing break anywhere else besides the seal?

one side of my clock came in broke, like it wont budge at all. i cant find anything online about it. anyone know how to fix it before I send it back?
