Literally half a million tech workers laid off!!? WTF explains why I can't even get interviews for help desk jobs despite having a bachelors in Cyber Security, certifications and even internship experience. What more do these greedy ass companies want!?!?!? Going up against this much competition in light of all the layoffs is SO depressing and my education feels all useless. Not like I majored in gender studies, philosophy or anything.

I have been working in tech for over 20 years. I am now unemployed and looking forward to my new future. I have decided to re-skill and learn how to be a breakfast cook. I like early mornings and the smell of bacon. I realize there will be a 90% pay cut and no medical insurance but a least there will be job security.

I have sent over 3, 000 resumes over 2 and 1/2 years and nothing I hit nothing but air. Yes this is the worst economy ever

I worked in tech for I.B.M for ten̈.years and I absolutely hated the field.I would rather work in radioactive waste.disposal LoL

😮The first COBOL programmers I met were from London England and they tripled there salary by moving to the New York metro area.This was in 1983.I was told there will always be a need for COBOL programmers.Lol

The main reason for layoffs was annonced by Jerome Powell in 2022. If noone has money the inflation will decrease to zero.

I am an Indian i was working in technical support i was laied off in may still can't find job that pays even the same amount i was getting in my last job . Now they are calling office so if i take a job with lower salary in a metro city that means i can hardly pay the bills
