Traeger Pro 575 temperature issues

Good luck. I’ve owned 2 575. And one Ironwood 650. They all had temperature issues. Finally bought a Recteq. Far superior. Holds temperatures within a couple degrees. Was on the phone with Traeger for hours and for months. Never resolved the issues.

had the same issue with mine that is only a few months old. Turned out to be the thermocouple. Traeger sent a replacement at no cost to me. Swapping it out this weekend.

I had similar issues with my Pro22. After Traeger initially replacing the controller, it turned out to be the RTD probe that sends grill temperature to the controller. Its pretty easy to damage the probe when removing the upper shelf.

I will say this about the quality. I bought a trader series 20 less than a year ago and it seems like the pot is rusting through the areas where the flame contacts is super thin. The grease pan is real flimsy.They have been bought by investors a few times and it looks like they are pleasing the investors by making the grill cheaper but still charging the high prices. Traeger you have some competition now it is time to shine and make a superior product. Get the hell out of China and put that American flag on that unit

Brother in laws is having EXACT same issue! 120° plus over setpoint. Trying to diagnose. Anyone have any insight here in 2021??

I have had the same issues, I get constant 50 to 80 degree temperature swings, After 2 months of calls and replacing parts, they said Im sorry, here is a free container of our spice rub!!!! If you are looking to do things at low temps, DO NOT BUY A TRAEGER, I repeat DO NOT BUY A TRAEGER. NO ONE should ever buy a Traeger, customer service is horrible. I spent 4 months on the phone with them on and off. They COULD NOT fix the issue. Traeger is crap Get a lawyer and go after them, THey need to be put in their place, they are absolute scum.

I am having the same problem with my Traeger Ironwood came with a defective lid and now this...very disappointed in the Traeger so far.

I’m having this same issue with my ironwood 650. Replaced thermocouple. Cleaned inside & out. Vacuumed fire pot and prime auger before start up. I shut it down, then turn it back on to a set temp. Then it decides to hold its temperature after wasting an excessive amount of pellets. Next purchase pit boss..

April 2024! Traeger pro 575 is still junk! I’m fighting with traeger right now about my new grill overshooting set point by 100 degrees! I wish I never bought this thing.

They sent me a new controller but it’s still has issues.

I’ve had 2 Traeger grills in less than 2 years same issues in both, can’t keep the temp down.traeger already replaced control panel on the pro 575 still running 50 degrees off, Traeger really doesn’t stand behind their product, they should start giving peoples money back

The problem with them is they just did an update with their software, that’s when I started having the problems.until they figure it out I think everybody will be having this problem.i was told that Traeger never gives the money back .the sales rep slipped up and said to me the word refund so I called him on it and I had a witness to back me up

I was ready to get the larger pro model and then started reading on line. It made me come here. I'm thinking I better not take the gamble because I've read plenty of gripes on this same issue and the lack of adequate Traeger customer support.

What ended up being the issue? I got a Pro 575 and it’s always running about 20 degrees hotter

I’ve found that if buy a Traeger from Costco when it starts messing up you can take it back and get your money back, I wouldn’t buy one anyway else.thats the only way to get your money back, contacting Traeger is a waste of time

Your chimney was closed too tight. Needs to have at least half an inch of clearance open for proper airflow.
