Stages/Steps 1-6:
1 - dissatisfaction with no real reason
2 - superficial things don't help
3 - question everything
4 - don't like what you see, possibly on the outside but definitely on the inside
5 - start to do the deep inner work
6 - transformation beyond your imagination

Thank you. This was helpful and encouraging. My husband and I (married 24 years) are coming out of his 5-year mid life crisis. I can see how he has been transformed and has been becoming a new man. Something I have prayed for for many years. Only the Father can do it. It was a hellish nightmare to go through, but I'm grateful.

Having been through a midlife crisis and subsequently qualifying as a counsellor, I can say that this is one of the most accurate and condensed descriptions I have come across

As I wife who’s husband is going through a midlife crisis, it is a nightmare, we are in the middle of a divorce, there’s an affair with a friend who’s much younger than him, abandoned his family. This needs to be said, people romanticize it and it’s horrid.

I quit my job last year, and haven't been able to find what I want to do with my life. I did two courses only to realise I'm no good at what I studied. I hate the way that I look. Very angry with myself and the world. Wish I could run away. Nothing makes me happy, so much confusion that I don't know what stage I'm up to....

I’m dissatisfied with my work hours in healthcare :). I recently went on call. I work the hours I want to work. That small change REALLY helped! Tweak things you can. I find being in nature and journaling so therapeutic. I find that buying less grounds me! I love driving an old car. Maybe it’s nostalgia. I like simpler times and low tech. You communicated mid life concerns well to many people. This is so good! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I ruined my life. A midlife crisis is terrible. I divorced and sold my house... WHY WHY

I turned 37 a few months ago, realized today that maybe I might be going through a midlife crisis.

After watching this, I think it is the case.

mediation, gym, walking, talking, eating, are great for me to overcome my problems!

I think my husband is going through this and it ruined my life at 57. I guess he’ll eventually be overwhelmingly happy and I have no retirement and have to work till I’m 70

My husband died at age 61 hanging out with strippers and doing drugs and having a meaningless rebellion against his family so he had an end of life crisis.

Yeah. This is happening to me. 39 looking at 40 soon. Should be happy. Other than a high stress job and the anxiety issues it causes; family, finances and health are all ok. But some mornings I wake up just thinking "WTF am I doing??" It's not easy.

Omg reading it now looks like a reflection of past few years of hurt, depression and struggle. If someone thinks depression can kill people welcome to the big daddy Mid life crisis.. it hits you from all sides..I was in denial for many years but realised during pandemic that it’s real and that’s when it got worst. It started for me at age of 35 and I am now 41. Understandably everyone is different and I moved through stages very slowly . From the stages I can see its stage 5 but Oh my, last 2 years have been so heavy and fuelled more by lockdowns. But so happy to see there is a ray of hope and there is light … a big big thanks for the video. I was literally in tears by the end of it.. and I can say positively that it’s going to come to an end work is in progress for a New ME… wait for it world.. 🙏🙏🙏

It all started when I was 39 and now I understand the cause for all of it so well after 6 very challenging years.I know who I am and I no longer need a mask or facade. It made me be more authentic and speak my mind…before I was a people pleaser at my own cost.

For me, it's been mostly about dealing with abusive childhood trauma instead of suppressing. Highly recommend any form of inner child healing, which seems to be bringing me resolution (finally!) You wouldn't think that accepting it wasn't your fault and forgiving yourself for getting smacked would make you more satisfied with your current life and trigger better communication patterns with your husband, but for me it did! Also, physical decluttering and learning about minimalism brought me so much relief.

Life wasn't great in my 30s. I was dealing with a family issue, but I seemed to be quite resilient. Then things started to fall apart. I was made redundant. My mother died of cancer and I've had some real problems with property. Now I'm mid-40s and life has lost all meaning. Reality feels broken and I don't see a future worth living.

We keep thinking we can fix things. Only God can make a true difference, trust Him.
