How to program VW or Audi Key with only 1 key

Usually you need two keys to program a Remote on any Audi TT A3 A4 a5 a6 or Volkswagen Jetta Passat Golf Rabbit or GTI This works MOST of the time to program your remote keyless entry Sometimes if your battery dies in the remote or in the car the key loses its memory and needs to be reprogrammed I also have a video on how to do it if you have 2 keys and remotes

If you have a wireless keyfob just do the same thing (except for putting the key in the key slot because you dont have a slot for that of course). Just get in the car, push the push button start until the radio comes on basically (it should also say that there is no key fob detected at this point), and then do the same thing he does locking the car from the inside and then holding the lock button on your key fob for a few seconds until the key fob flashes red. Violaaaa. Programmed. Thanks man saved me $220 bucks

Thank you, you just saved me a ton of money and heartache as I was told by the dealer actually the closest dealer is 100km + away so its a local garage that works on VW cars here in south east Ontario Canada $300. I needed to be with my young Autistic son who is 5 hours away in a hospital with 2 brain tumors, he was rushed there from the local hospital 2 nights ago and when the car would not start it was the worst feeling I could feel for something like this to happen. Worked after my car was in the shop for three months and got deprogrammed. They quoted me $200 at the Audi dealer and $160 at the locksmith. Glad I looked this up first! Fixed it in about 5 seconds and it hasn’t been working for months.

IT WORKED!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! The key fob I used was an old one. Don’t laugh, but here ya go….
I lost my original key fob. Had to call locksmith. He programmed a new key fob. When I found the original it didn’t work due to new one being made. I did keep original just in case. Well it just so happened I misplaced the key fob the locksmith made for me. So I thought why not try the original key fob that came with my 2008 VW EOS. Followed your instructions and IT WORKED!
Now if only I could fix that string for the roof that would be great. Not wanting to spend $2000 for that fix. Also I don’t think there’s anyone close to me that can fix it. Thank you so much for your video. My sister and I appreciate you!

tried for a long time to get my second key to work. i used the suggested method, but like another person commented it worked in a different way and i cannot remember what i did . The thing is that he put me on the right track and my 2008 audi a3 2tdi has a working second key.(6-09-2023)🤩

Have a 2004 Audi A4. Same thing, battery died and fob stopped working after car battery replaced. Followed advice here - my Audi doesn't have a light on its fob nor does it seem to have 2 stages before engine turns on. So I turned it to the stage just before vehicle turns on while following advice. It worked!! Key Fob now working normal. Thanks, liked and subscribed!

Hold the lock button ON THE KEY fob. On the key fob. I got lost when the video panned away. Thank you for this video though. Mine was fixed by using the manual key hole in the driver's door (different video). You turn it clockwise then anti-clockwise about six times. That reset it for me.
