This Power BI Example has

The video and the modelling using in this example is too complicated to understand. It is more complicated than the problem itself.

Most of the time I hear many to many is dangerous because of potential ambiguity in the model. Could you elaborate on different scenarios when they really make sense? Thank you. Great video

the video itself is way more complicated that the actual problem 😑😑

Hi everyone,

When I add the data, while it is normal on the SQL side, I encounter the character problem in BI Data and Report as below. How can we solve this situation?

Would I encounter the same problem in SQL Server or it will work just fine ?

Hi Avi
,

In this example
content_topic and content is many to one relationship and bi direction filter

and content to activity is
one to many relationship and single direction filter

Now i want to see
Topic Level1 Name from content_topic and Description from activity in Table format
Why I'm unable to get this result ? If i apply aggregation to one of the column(activity table) then only i got the result. Could you please explain..

@5:08, the filter is 'uphill', is there any quick way to figure it out without analyzing the model? I can see both 'Uphill' and 'downhill' the arrow pointing same direction, Overall, great video. thanks for the tips :)...by the way 'Liked' your video too !!!

Hi Avi,

I have the same issue with my report. I tried the same method as suggested by you. it solved my problem. but since my data is really huge the SUMX function is causing it slowdown. is there other workaround to solve this problem?

or else please let me know how to connect with you to discuss this problem.
