Most people have heard about the French and Indian War, but you will find that most history classes have “forgotten” to explore some of the most interesting and important facets of this conflict. Its little-told stories and often underrated importance in world history have begun to be buried over the centuries. Was this epic struggle simply another war among many others in history?
Many of the incredible details, stories of legendary heroism, and actual world-changing events have not been given their moment to shine. The French and Indian War was not only about armed battles. It was also an extraordinary story of two empires with long-standing grudges that spilled over into the New World. This clash of titan-like powers shaped the fates of millions of people, numerous tribes, and multiple nations.

You forgot to mention that, after the French took fort Necessity, Washington signed a surrendering document admitting that he was responsible for the murder of Jumonville. Later he would say that he did not understand what he signed because he did not speak nor read French.

Horribly done. Double barrel shotgun, Apache Indians, Sharps rifles and civil war soldiers. Why so many pictures and talk of Indians if the “French and Indian war didn’t involve actual Indians???!” 😮😅😢

Despite what you've been led to believe. Washington was inept as a soldier and commander. Young and overly ambitious his main goal was to impress the English into giving him a commission. Which they denied to him because of his poor display of judgement, less than honest reporting of incidents. He'd already been at Braddock's defeat.
During the Revolution Washington was 2 and 6 in his battles.

Do you mean Indians from India? That theater was part of wider Seven Year War. However, indigenous people in North America certainly fought in the French and Indian war

I've used a lot of these videos to teach my 8th graders...good stuff. But this video is full anachronistic pictures: plains Indians, double barrel shotgun. C'mon...you can do better with this important period of history.

What - the French and Indian War "did not involve actual Indians"? So, what were all those Indigenous allies of both the French and British doing; sitting on the sidelines watching all the battles? Might want to do a little research on the involvement of the "Indians".

The British were not so interested in "spreading their armies" westward into the continent. In fact the British had never had any standing armies in their North American colonies. They called relied on colonial militias and as conflicts arose sent troops to America. This is what happened during the French and Indian War/Seven Years War. After the war was over, British policy changed and it did keep troops in America.
