Troy hand builds a ceramic platter using leaves he finds outside his studio. Great video teaching pottery for beginners. He rolls out a slab of clay and places it on top and lays out the leaves evenly. Then he uses a homemade foam stencil to cut the outside of the tray. Troy places the pottery form then uses two slabs to flip the tray and uses a rib to clean the bottom of the tray of any imperfections and push the clay into the right shape on the form. Then he gives it one final run with a damp sponge to clean it up.
