You can use rubbing alcohol on the wet clay to get rid of finger prints. I do that on earrings. It works really well.

Can I suggest another way to make your roses? Roll out a long flat piece about 2-3 inches long, add your texture to the edges, then roll it into like a funnel 🎉 shape! Then use a tooth pick or dowel tool and pull out the petals. It’s so much easier. 😊 Your work is beautiful and you are very interesting to watch!
