Outlook for Android on Windows 11 is definitely going to be better for everyone than Windows Mail.

I feel like this will bring a whole new dimension to surface laptops. It would pretty much replace my need for an Android Tablet...somewhat. Android Tablets are still more lightweight I'm guessing. Would android apps from the Google play store be able to run on a surface go tablet without any issues?

I absolutely love this! This is so cool! On the other hand, it does use quite a bit of resources, the app selection is not comparable to the play store, and you will need to re buy some apps. I will use it, but I wonder if non-tech-interested people will go through that much trouble. Hopefully copy paste and touch gestures will feel somewhat native. Also, unlike apples catalyst apps there is no shared code base. Regardless, great job Microsoft!

Amazon Appstore could be a deal breaker to most people, but you know what I'm thinking right now? Microsoft Lumia comeback! Seriously, we. DO. NEED. one!

I'll definitely use this. On kb and mouse I tend to still create dedicated PWA apps for certain websites, and on tablet, I'd prefer as many touch friendly options as I can get (including UWPs). Amazon has most of the majors, and google-free apps will increase if windows in onboard. There are some notable gaps though. Like decent photo editing apps, for which I suppose you'll have to fall back on UWPs or websites, but they won't be as good as what android has. But at least now, you'll be able to install all the majors as either UWPs, PWAs or android apps, and have a functional touch experience on tablet.

Useful but still prefer web apps of chromium browsers cause it's going to take too much RAM just for simple apps.

Play Services not working on Windows 11 is actually awesome. This will push Android devs to move away from relying on PS for their apps. As a fan of degoogled Android this makes me happy.

The one thing I don't like is that at the moment, it's only available in the US or on US-based accounts, having UK based accounts, I had to hack it into submission.

Also, sadly it slows my laptop into to a crawl, though that's because I only have 8GB, but then again, I've always been meaning to upgrade the RAM on here.
