I felt that on a whole other level, it’s horrible that the people who are supposed to care for you unconditionally make you cry, make you feel like shit, make you feel defenseless. And coming from the oldest sibling, they expect you to take every single stab in the gut and not complain, not tell them to stop. They expect you to apologize even if you did nothing, they think that just bc you’re the oldest or older you need to be mature and “set an example.” It’s breaking to the soul. And when you tell them they tell you that you’re being dramatic. To “stop antagonizing your siblings” bc they’re younger. No matter what you say or do you’re always in the wrong. Even if they’re the most toxic person you know. You are expected to shut up and take it, to be “strong” to never show how human you are. They expect you to bottle up all emotions and only show happiness, even if you aren’t.

But I’m here to tell you, you don’t need to be. You should be loved, you don’t need to be what your parents want. You are who you are. Embrace it, you are fuckin incredible❤️ You shouldn’t have to be quiet, don’t have to take everything ppl say about you. If you have siblings like that being oldest, youngest, or somewhere in the middle. You deserve love, and if standing up for yourself is talking back… then talk back like there’s no tomorrow. You don’t deserve crap for no reason. Sometimes you shouldn’t be the bigger person. Just stay strong
