eternals are actually protecting a celestial egg, when the big bang happened, it released so much cosmic energy that many celestials were born. Usually it takes lots of cosmic energy to birth a celestial. After the big bang, there wasn't as much celestial energy to birth more. The reasons why celestials even keep humans if because they slowly give off a tiny amount of cosmic energy that is feeding into the egg. After thanos snapped, a huge amount of cosmic energy was released and boosted the birth of the egg.

Something interesting I saw from the trailer. When one eternal talks about another’s house he slams the table thinking it was vibranium, showing that vibranium is something that could be used to help with high level attacks on the eternal level threat.

I believe they're going to use this movie to seed the idea of the X gene. Either The Celestials may see Earth as worthy of having their X genes unlocked due to the fight they'll put up to stop the Emergence or The Eternals unlock the X gene because they feel there aren't enough heroes on Earth to handle future threats

the MCU doesn't identify Thanos as what he actually is in the comics which is a deviant hybrid they just make him an alien

The reason I think the Eternals didn't intervene in the "Infinity Saga", is because Thanos' plan was in a massive scale, which didn't just involve Earth. Dude was wreaking havoc all over the universe, so maybe they thought that this was more of a Celestials and Cosmic Entities issue than just "Earth is in trouble through Deviant actions." I mean Ego was roaming about, along with elders of the universe like The Collector and Grandmaster doing dumb stuff, lol. Or maybe they knew how things were going to playout anyways.

Thank you for clearing up that huge question I had about Thanos in the MCU. Even though he has a deviant gene he is still considered an eternal? Which I guess means that there was a loophole for him

So, in essence for phase four, we have Kang who creates the TVA to guard the Sacred Timeline. And now, we have the Celestials, who create the Eternals to guard the Sacred DNA line... 🤔

I don’t think it would’ve mattered if the eternals would’ve tried to fight Thanos even if they thought he was more deviant. He had the stones and he did all that damage within like a day maybe 2 days.

Yeah very strange about the actual timing of the release for the new trailer. It was roughly around 5:30-6pm here in Australia when it released. I prefer to look at the new trailers first thing when I wake up in the morning personally.
