Studytube Trends I DON'T FOLLOW!... and WHY!

There are some #studytube trends that I can't stand and today I'm letting you all know 3 of them (there's more if you all want a part 2.....)

Another trend that annoys me is that they all seem to be upper class or very wealthy. They say things like eat healthy, "i take notes on my ipad", they have like 100 different pencils. I just study with my pencilcase and my notebook tbh.

I can finally relate. I am from India, and believe me here people are cracking the toughest of exams with a pen and paper. I am from a very humble background, and getting education is the biggest gift that I received from my parents (and I am extremely grateful), but these videos of every single thing asthetic is toxic.
Starting from the white study table, to small lights and excessive amount of pens, washi tapes, colors, mildliners and asthetic cooking style and finally Starbucks coffee cans or whatever they're called, can actually demotivate many.
I know I am ranting here, sorry for that but I had to let it out.
Thanks for the video it should get more views.
P.S. I don't have any tablet or anything, just a pen and paper is extremely helpful for me to retain information and do well in the exams.

i HATE study sessions videos and i just don't feel good writing on ipads. and sometimes i don't even have a notebook i just scribble in blue in the margins and highlight the text and that's it.. i do find all of those 3 things very distracting

I love writing sloppy/fast notes and then typing on my pc into organized outlines. My "pretty notes" are only my final re-writes that I used for my study guides so they were very condensed verisons of a semester of notes (like 5 pages).
However, I do love my fineliners. I still use only 2-3 colors but they write so smooth!

The colors in the notes for me and why I do it is it keeps me focused and really helps me remember what I’m writing about and organizing :)

yes completely agree the aesthetic part is way too much. I have done pretty well in university with just a pen and paper. Only recently i have started typing my notes in a laptop because my typing speed is better than my writing speed and my note taking time is reduced to half. But when i see people making their digital notes pretty and the amount of time that they spend doing that i just do not get it. I just type it in basic black and white and highlight important parts when i memorize them which is very basic and i think that is just fine. So if someone like me buys an iPad that will be a complete waste because as i said before my writing speed is not that good and on the top of that writing on a screen will further decrease my speed hence there will be loss of productivity

iPads are helpful for mathematics / physics
people also use ipads for things like goodnotes / notion for overall management not just of notes, but scheduling; including hyperlinks which are physically impossible in a real notebook

most of the trends you dislike seem to be the ones that people do for aesthetic purposes. It's not that deep tbh. Some people love colourful pens and stationery and fancy, personalised notes. It just makes the study process more fun and enjoyable.

I think it's better if your making pretty notes don't do to detailed ones and do the tittles during breaks
