I always bring board games! Complex ones, ones that are easy to learn, classics, funny ones, serious ones, short and long.

It does depend on the kind of party you're attending but it's more often than not a hit, especially with family gatherings where some people will get bored.

As an introvert, I’m the one that brings the willingness to clean. It gets me away from the socialization when I’ve run out of social energy. 😅

For the 1 who said Sharpie, most definitely, if not for any other reason than to write obscene comments on the 1st person to fall asleep!!!

A friend of mine in grad school hosted parties about three times a year. He made food. Grilled tri-tip, baked salmon, more sides than I can remember or name, and plenty for everyone.

Guests brought the booze. He never asked us to, but it was understood by the regular guests as something you just did as one of his guests.

That was over thirty years ago. To this day, I still remember them as the best parties ever.

Appearing with food when the party is dying down truly must be legendary

I had a friend a few years back who’s always bring a dozen eggs to parties lmfao

She’d wake up in the morning and start making scrambled eggs and toast while we all complained about our hangovers, it was a rad move

Whenever my friends throw a party, I know everyone is gonna get wasted, so Instead of taking more alcohol I take bottles and bottles of water, Gatorade and a pack of Tylenol for the ones that wake up in the house the next day.
Also I was the star of a campfire in high school because I took those red sausages you normally cook on a grill, they liked them so much, some guys went to the store to buy more when they ran out.

I went to my friends party, she was super broke but trying to put something together for her two year old daughter. I bought chips and toilet paper. Good thing too, she was down to her last roll. Things could have gotten ugly.

My 21st birthday was at a hotel so we could swim. Most of my friends worked at fast food places and had to work late. As they started to show up, they had big bags of food. We had McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell. It was awesome!

I had just turned 18 at the time but it was for someone else’s birthday. We had a bit of a 00’s vibe going on so I brought 2 guitar hero guitars, a mini computer and boombox with metal & grunge tapes. Probably the best night of my life

When hosting a birthday party for my third grade daughter, I rented a bounce house for the kids. But that wasn’t the hit of the party. It was a rocket launcher that made use of water and pressurized air that was forced into a 2L bottle with fins and a nose cone.

There was a craft table with empty bottles, cut out foam, tape and scissors where the kids could build fins and nose comes into the bottles, pick their proportion of water and assemble them on the launcher. I’d pressurize the air to the same level for each rocket and we’d give prizes for the highest launch.

Parents came up to us later saying their kids had the best time ever at a birthday party.

Home baked goods. My friend Z was always the hero of the party, some people think of beer and akward hook ups when highschool parties are mentioned but the best parties are the ones Z threw with uno and a homemade cake or cookies

There was this kid in my elementary class that brought a spray can of cheese to the class party. Yes, *a spray can of cheese* . There was also this other kid hat brought mini hot dogs, so the class improvised it and made mini hot dogs with cheese on it.

My parents have this friend who would wait for everyone to finish eating and then make the lady of the house a cup of coffee, while he rallied the youngsters (young officers) to clean up and put leftovers away. He would even do the dishes...this was the Indian Air Force back in the 80s...that man raised a whole generation of the best guests ever.

Well, before oreo cereal came back to America I had always ordered it from South Korea. I had three boxes in my cupboard. At 25 bucks a box. the whole party had Oreo cereal for the first time since it disappeared in the 90s. All super drunk.

I like bringing my laptop filled with couch-coop games, along with four controllers.

Always fun looking at four of my friends screaming at eachother while playing Overcooked or Stickman: The Game.
