Sea Sunday: Celebrating & Praying for Those Who Work at Sea | EWTN News Nightly

Показать описание
Many Christian communities around the world will come together this Sunday to celebrate and commemorate those who work out at sea. In many parts of the world, the second Sunday in July is referred to as "Sea Sunday." The initiative began in England in 1975 and asks the faithful to remember seafarers, their families and to pray for their safety doing dangerous but very vital work. Director of Stella Maris International, Fr. Bruno Ciceri, joins to tell us more about this Sea Sunday, when it began and what celebrations will take place this year. Fr. Bruno updates us on what life is like for those who earn a living on ships at sea. He fills us in on other projects his organization is working on right now.
