Yeah that first stage would have discouraged me when I was a beginer hahahaha, but pushing threw these ugly stages is what made me a better artist and just seening the growth really helps as well! A very important advise that I hear once was to just finish any drawing that you start and learn from your mistakes and this is so true! some times it won't turn out as bad as you thought it would

People, VALUE IS KING! It doesn’t matter which medium you’re using, if your values are right and you have good contrast, it DOESN’T matter what colors you use!!!

Very nicely done, this video was helpful and I love your dogs at the end. I'm struggling at the moment with a piece trying to juggle between too much detail and implied detail. I think because I'm working smaller than I probably should be so the fur strokes just look a little out of place. I'm hoping I will be able to recover it though.
