Concept TX Baitcasting Reel by 13 Fishing - First Impression!

Here is my first impression video for the concept TX baitcasting reel by 13 Fishing. The overall aesthetics and appearance of the reel is superb. You can clearly see that the ocean armor protection that encases the reel will surely help prevent corrosion and damage from the harsh elements. This reel is built specifically for saltwater. The TX features the new titanium bulldog drag system that boast a maximum drag of 25lbs, that is insane considering that most of my larger conventional reels don't have that kind of stopping power. There are a total of ten bearings, seven black sealed corrosion resistant bearings, two Japanese high spin bearings and one dead stop anti-reverse bearing. This reel only weighs 5.99 ounces; you can fish all day with little fatigue. The TX Concept also features a simple 6- way centrifugal braking system that is numbered 0-6 to help prevent those dreaded birds nest. Meanwhile if you are into customizing, you can do so via the trick shop and make it look any way you desire. I can’t wait to get this bad boy on the water and see what she really can do. If you enjoyed this video, please like, share and subscribe. Thank you!

Just a beauty. Probably the toughest saltwater casting reel on the market today. Will get one as soon as ebay shows favorable. Dream reel, would be nice to have different colorways but nonetheless.. SWEET REEL CAPT. Now lets see if that monster EVER gets away.

Hey Joshua, neat and informational review. Don't know if I will ever get to saltwater fish (on my bucket list) but If I ever do, I will remember this video and consider a reel like this. You say it SHOULD be a good ALL Around reel, thats good enough for me. Take care. Tight Lines and Happy Times my friend!

I don't fish saltwater, but this seems like a great investment for those who do. Gotta love a smooth reel! 😁

Love my Tx Concept. Cast very smooth and pulls a slot size Red like a toy doll. Pretty big here in Texas despite the haters from the Shimano/Lews guys lol

Go with the concept C instead. It too has ocean armor coating. Saltwater rated. Only one less bearing. 22lb drag. And the biggest part $70 cheaper. (or get lucky like me and score it for $165 at Gander Mountain's going out of business sale!!)

I like the color, let us know how it holds up after some use in saltwater.

Hey Josh what gear ratio would you recommend with this real? Top water and jerk baits 6:6-1? What would you fish with the faster ratio? Also, I noticed they just released a newer model, should do a video man!
