I reckon 40k could benefit from becoming a D10 game at the least.

With everything running off D6 there's not enough room to vary armies.

Infinity is great for that. It really makes the game more dynamic with each number having 5% value, rather than a d6 16.66 percent. Having characters that hit on 16 and below vs 10 and below is huge!

I wouldn't call stargrave a Warhammer 40, 000 alternative, but it is definitely a kill team alternative.

I know for the game of warhammer its unlikely, and i know it wasn't the point of this, but i always felt warhammer would make more sense as a d10 system. It's so hard to judge scale as d6s as theres only so much wiggle room

I do love that WH has a shitzillion dice that you roll.

But this would probably be more practical, and cheaper for that matter. 😢 Damn you reason!

I wouldn't really call them warhammer alternatives. Not that they aren't great games, but they're skirmish sized and don't really hit the same itch as 40k or Age of Sigmar.
