I used to sing this song to my first long term partner. She brought our son into world but tragically she died 5 years later. This was the last song played at her funeral. Hands down the saddest day of my entire life. Every now and then I come back to this beautiful song and think of her and times we shared. Life is a truly incredible experience.. both the good and bad. I'm grateful for both of those extremes, because as much as its hurts to look back and remember.. It does remind me that I was lucky enough to experience something as precious as the love expressed within this song.

I’m 57 years old. I love music and I had known the fist line and tune of this song for most of my life but never listened to the whole thing until just recently. This is an incredible love song written by a legendary studio pianist/artist named Leon Russel.
