Great video as always Chris. What is the alternative to a M.E.A.N stack when using React? Can we simply substitute React for Angular and use the rest of the stack as is? I have been holding off on getting heavy in to Angular cause of the 2.0 shift but am still interested in the full stack option. I actually prefer React from the limited comparison I have made between it and Angular but understand the significant differences. I'm also a Python advocate but felt Django wasn't instantly appealing compared to flask for example, (again appreciating the complexity disparity). Jobs wise, Angular seems to be more common at this point but I think as you noted, organisations have been chasing their tale on the JS framework/library movement and are as confused/uncertain as anyone. So the 'million dollar' question is how to see ahead and level up our skills so that, say in 6 months, employment opportunities are aplenty. Chris-tal ball at the ready please :) Do you know of any metrics on this or polls/stats making any 2016 predictions, and can they be trusted even? All I've seen so far is Javascript and Python continue to grow user base vs Ruby and PHP which are levelling off. So nothing specific within the languages themselves.

This was very informative and I agree with you on a lot of what you have to say on the two frameworks. also it was nice that this was in a pod-cast sort of style, I was able to listen to it while developing today.
Thanks for all your effort and info,
Keep it up!

I'm using Angular for 2 years, but now I'm totally fall in love with React and the main thing for using it is performance and organisation.

Interesting. I've used Angular 1, but not React. It seems Angular 1 will soon be obsolete when A2 comes out. The issue with A2 is that there's a lot of setup cost. You've got Typescript and Webpack that have to be handled by a package manager, then you also need to include other libs like RxJs and Polymer. With A1 you just CDN it into your script tag, and done. At the moment A2 just feels like a clunky monster. Though I'm sure they'll clean it all up later.

For the moment I feel I should learn React until A2 comes out because while A1 fades away, React will still continue to be a competitor.

I'm going to start learning React soon. How long did it take you get familiar enough to start building with it?

Hay nice video !! If someone goes with React and adds some libs to make its complete framework like Redux or MobX !! do you think that replaces Angular completely

I'd PREFER React in fact I'm going to learn it when I get out of boot camp. Right now they're hustling Angular on me tho. Ultimately I'm going to go for the MERN stack.

Have you even seen Angular 1 used in any big project! I don't think so.

You are making a video "Angular 2.0 vs. React" and you say at 2:30 that you haven't spend too much time on Angular 2.0... How could we take your words seriously?
