Friend Third Wheel (w/Just Between Us)

When I introduced two friends and became their third wheel, I was incredibly insecure. Has that ever happened to you? It's the worst. Suddenly they were best friends and I was tagging along, riding in the back seat or feeling like the odd one out. They'd always sit next to each other at the movies and whisper to each other. If we were at a restaurant, they'd sit next to each other and I'd be on the other end. They had inside jokes. I felt left out and sad and dumb for feeling that way. But it's hard - you want your friends to like you as much as they like their other friends. So here's some ways to help you cope with being a third wheel.

I can totally relate to this...you just feel like being the worse, most unfunny, unentertaining one of all and then you realize there is competetion everywhere, even in friendships.

At least they didn't lie to your face about when they hang out. Then you awkwardly view their Facebook stating that they are hanging out without you, leaving you sad and eating a family size bag of potato chips by yourself.

This is literally what's been happening to me and my friends! Introduced a good friend of mine to my other friend who they wanted to talk to but was too scared to do it on their own, so I hung out with them to help break the ice and make it less awkward! Except now they're best friends and talk to each other 24/7 and hang out with each other without me and tell each other all their problems and... yeah... I hate everything.

I hang out with two friends I made a few months ago. They are besties to each other. Literally I just sit there quietly while they laugh and talk about people and inside jokes I don't know. lol!

It's a special kind of loneliness feeling when you're with people, but not really included.
