It’s cool to see a guy who has been professionally fitting for years and still learning and getting surprised from results. Great work.

It's so great seeing Matt's smooth, consistent swing doing the testing

So happy to see this type of content coming out from TXG, again! Would love to see a deep dive on swing weight sometime. Maybe building up multiple 6 irons and drivers at different SW to see the effects. Could even have Mikey and Ian both go through it to see the difference with swing speeds.👍🏻

Love my Ventus Blue in my TSI3 Driver so assumed the Ventus Red would be a nice choice for my TSR2 5 wood since I was looking for a higher launch off the deck. And the perfect example of why you get fit because I couldn’t get any height out of the Ventus Red lol. Went back to the stock AV Blue Raw and it works like a charm. Just Get Fit (feel free to use that as your new slogan TXG).

This was the type of testing that made me a subscriber and your interaction with each other kept me here. Great content again!

Great video!I just had a fitting this weekend for a 3 wood and found something similar. My current driver is TSi3 w/ Ventus Blue 6x. Tried multiple shafts in TSr2 3 wood and thought we’d settled on Ventus Red 7x with the aim of increasing launch and spin. At the end we tried Ventus Blue 7x in the 3 wood and it blew everything out the park. Higher launch and better spin! Didn’t expect to be fit into the same as my driver!

I have ventus blk 6x in my driver. Have had issues finding a fairway wood I like, went with black 7 stiff. It was a great choice

Ian's description that the softer flex tip section on the Red kicks the club head further out and further forward was incredibly helpful. In order to center the strike on my hybrids and and woods, I have to stand slightly further away from the ball than I do with my irons...even though all of them are custom-fit for lie angle and shaft length. It is nice to finally understand the physics of why this change of my address position is necessary. Thank you for sharing your expertise on the channel so generously!

I play the graphite design DI 6s with ping g425 lst swing speed 110. I really want to give that ventus red a shot seems so easy to get the shape I desire more often.

I actually went the other way. I bought a 7 wood of all things and unbelievable how easy it is to hit a high draw. It has the Red Ventus in it. I have the Blue in my 3 wood and love it. Now I want to put a Red into my driver. Currently have the Diamana Dialed mid kick shaft. Like it but not even close to as good of flight and feel as the Red Ventus in the 7 wood.

Were you keeping with 6x in the fairway woods or did you move to 7x? I notice almost all Tour players who have Ventus throughout woods go 6x driver -- 7 or 8x in 3w and then maybe 9x in 5w

I play the Ventus TR Black 6S tipped 0.5” in my G430 LST driver, and the Ventus TR Red 6S tipped 0.75” in my PXG 0311X Gen 4 7 wood. Need the lower launch and spin off my driver, and the higher launch in the 7W to land them nice and soft from 210-220 yards out.

In a prior fit, I had the same shaft in DR and 3W (3W just shorter and the next weight up). Recently went to CC for a long game fit and was looking like it was going to be the same thing with 3W and DR until the fitter said “let’s just try the ventus blue TR and see how it does” I then hit the best 5 shots with my 3W. The fitter then put a ventus blue in the DR and I saw a further upgrade over the shaft he had originally picked. Finished with Ventus Blue 6x in the DR and Ventus Blue TR 7S in the 3W

I play the Ventus TR Blue (6R, tipped 1/2”) in my driver, and just recently put a Ventus TR Red (7S, untipped) in my 4 wood. I was formerly playing a 77 gram stiff shaft with a very similar profile to the Ventus TR Blue in the same 4 wood, and I definitely prefer the Ventus TR Red in that fairway wood. I get the ball flight that I prefer (mid-high flight with a hair more backspin and about 10 yards more carry) with that Ventus TR Red 7S. From off of a tee, I would be happy with either shaft, or a Ventus Blue, in my 4 wood, but from the fairway on par 5 holes the higher flight with more backspin that I get with that TR Red is certainly welcome to give me a softer landing shot with less run-out.

Really interesting test. The peak height for all seemed to be mostly the same which I found surprising. The Red is just a beast in a fairway wood.

That TSr2 3 wood sounds incredible. Powerful sound. Love it.
