as a military brat with a dad with a fairly high clearance i remember the times where my dad would be gone for months at a time and he wouldn't be able to tell us where he was, what he was doing, or when he would be back.
so every time i see videos of parents coming home and the joy on their kids faces it really hits me in the feels.
but also as someone working their ass off but is still broke- the clip of the starbucks guy getting teary-eyed that the stranger gave him money to get a new car hit me just the same. 💚
