I lost my beloved dog of 13 yrs 6 weeks ago. In his honor and memory I adopted a 7 yr old rescue 19 days later. He too was going to be put down. He's a great pup! I truly believe he's helping me as much as I am helping him. So grateful we found each other!

Oh Susan, how lucky Desi was you brought him home.I was lucky too.My parents adopted me.I thought about my parents all day yesterday.All soul's day.I cried all day.My parents were beautiful people.My mother a lady my father a gentleman.Then about 9-30 last night my door knocked.No one comes to my door, I live in the country and its very remote.It was my son, he had come home from university early to surprise me.I cried again.The kindest heart I have ever known.A young man who's life has been made a living hell because he is transgender.Well now he is blossoming.He is second year into his university life.He lives at the coast in a lovely house.He commissions his art and is making good money.He loves uni.He has a strong relationship, yet enjoys his own company.He has a beautiful home here with me when he needs.He has his dog.He still has a mountain to climb but he will make it.I can go to whatever God I meet knowing my son will be just fine.Until then I am proud of my transgender son.Have a good weekend everyone.Thank you Susan and Desi.☘️

Oh Susan! Things you said really touched me. First ... Desi... it was the right day for him!! So true!❤️ I can’t picture you without him! The right day for you too!
Secondly ... are we born lucky? Maybe I was born lucky with two parents who loved me and grandparents.... but... one rainy Sunday a drunk teenager was on the wrong side of the road and killed my father and grandfather( my mother’s father). At a few weeks shy of seven my world went unlucky. My mother in the next two years turned to alcohol... the thing that took them away. My grandmother who lost her husband always told me... you are blessed and you will have good luck... do not dwell on this... you ha e a life go live. I have faltered at times but I remember her words daily. I can’t ask why me? Why my family... I have to live to the best of my ability to honor them. I have cried...sure. This loss is different from losing a spouse but a huge loss just the same. I don’t have time to cry... I am 60. It’s really not so long until I will see them again... no morbid here... just sometime likely in the next 20 years I will. That’s my belief. In the meantime ...I need to live the life they gave me... to the best of my ability.

I feel the same way you do about my divorces or failed relationships. Talk it out, write it out, whatever needs to happen to move on. This way, you're the winner and the person that hurt you is the looser. You have to know your own worth, even if they didn't, and you have to know what THEY gave up. Whenever bad things happen in my life I totally reinvent my life to move on to a better place, and find my own happiness, even if it's solo for awhile. Good advise about the dogs in the shelter! You're not replacing your best friend, just helping a new dog and giving them a chance at a new life. When I knew my little Ally was near the end of her life (she was 14 diabetic with cancer) I adopted 3 puppies. She liked them and It perked her up for awhile but the end was inevitable 😭. I still miss her everyday, she was my doggie soul mate, but I'm very grateful for my other pups and love them dearly as well. They are often cast members in some of my YouTube videos :)

Thank you for a beautiful fall video. I just turned 80 years but I take very good care of my skin (and get many compliments) and now I have added rose hip oil to my routine due to your raving about it. It’s a challenge to stay ahead of those wrinkles!

I just want to share that I stopped using eyelash curlers 3 years ago because I feel like they damage my lashes no matter how gentle or how good the curler was. What I do is after my mascara is applied...I give it a few minutes to set up and almost dry...then I take my pointer fingers and place them under my lashes and lift up and hold for 15 seconds. That does the job for me and it's not damaging at all to my lashes. I've been doing the Jamaican Black castor oil treatment at night for 2 years and suddenly I started having a reaction. I'm just going to take a few weeks off, then try it again. I loved the conditioning the castor oil gave my lashes and tho they didn't really get longer...they didn't shed as much and that made such a difference in their appearance.

Susan's advice around getting another pet is right! I lost my dear Georgie (AmStaff rescue I had 11 years) nearly three years ago now and I just couldn't think about getting another puppers, but going through the seasons and remembering George and all the things we would do and how we kept each other company so many times, my husband and I decided to get a new rescue dog. So now we have Davie (little girl - and we're not quite certain what she is except loved). Rescued her at eight weeks and now we've had her a couple of years. I never thought any dog could replace my George, but Davie didn't replace anyone. She's who she is. I love her so much! Do it when you're ready and you won't regret. xxoo

What beautiful pictures of the leaves and trees! You look amazing in leopard. I starting using Grande lash serum and have had some GREAT results, w/o darkening of the lids or eye color changes. I recommend it, but it does take several months before seeing significant results. Hope to see some photos of the snow as in some of your previous videos. Glad you pushed through your pain and decided to be a VICTOR rather than a victim!

Susie, you are so right about moving on from the pain that enters our lives... if I hadn’t of done that how could I be the mom, and grandma my loved ones needed. I wouldn’t have been, because I would not be completely whole in the places where we put our loved ones in our heart and mind. I hope that made sense.
